Paul Pallath

Dr. Paul brings an extensive background with over 2 decades of experience in architecting and deploying machine learning /cognitive solutions across industries, including IoT, finance, and retail. Currently, Dr. Paul is EVP Big Data Science , Business Analytics & Business Intelligence at Vodafone Idea Ltd. Before Vodafone Idea, Dr.Paul was Chief Data Scientist and Director at SAP in Dublin, where he was a member of the Product Portfolio Executive team and Product Advisory Group. In 2014, he won the “Star Innovator Award” for his work on auction and game analytics, which was reported in more than 50 digital and print journals. Dr.Paul previously served as Product Development Director at Pitney Bowes Software in India, leading a global team of Architects, Data Scientists and Engineers. Earlier in his career, he has worked briefly with Intuit Ltd as Staff Engineer, as professor of computer science at Nirma University Institute of Technology and as software engineer at Arraycom. Dr.Paul holds a Ph.D. in Machine Learning Algorithms and M.Tech in Computer Application both from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, and a B.E. of Electronics and Communication from SSEC, Bhavnagar University. He has authored 19 publications in international journals and holds 10 patents in Advanced Analytics and machine learning.
