S.D. Shibulal, the former MD & CEO of Infosys Limited, led the company from 2011 to 2014, after serving as COO from 2007 to 2011. As one of the seven founders, he was instrumental in developing the pioneering Global Delivery Model, which transformed the IT outsourcing industry. A strong advocate for innovation, his leadership helped Infosys maintain its position as a leader in the global IT sector.
In 2014, Shibu co-founded Axilor Ventures – a new generation platform to improve odds of success of entrepreneurs. With three distinct programmes: accelerator, scale-up and early stage funding, Axilor provides infrastructure, mentoring and capital for high-impact, India–focussed start-ups (in the areas of e-commerce, Healthcare and Cleantech).
An alumnus of the University of Kerala (Master’s in Physics) and Boston University (MS in Computer Science), Shibulal has seamlessly blended technical expertise with business acumen. He is a Member of the Board of Trustees, Boston University and Trustee of the Infosys Science Foundation, a not-for-profit trust. He is Vice Chairman of High Power IT Committee (HPIC), Kerala and a Member of Governing Board, Centre for Brain Research (CBR).
